Kinney Drugs Plans Grand Opening of Former Vincent Drugs
Free blood pressure screenings and grand prize drawings

Waterbury, VT March 15, 2010 – Kinney Drugs, a leading community pharmacy and retail business in New York and Vermont, is planning a grand opening celebration at its recently acquired Waterbury location on Saturday, March 27th. The planned festivities will take place at 80 S. Main Street in Waterbury.

The new store will offer free prescription delivery, EZ Refill phone-in or online refill services, and free Life Vials, a vial which contains important medical information in the event of an emergency. Kinney Drugs also offers the KinneyCare discount prescription plan, a plan that offers over 350 generic prescriptions for less than 14 cents per day when purchasing a ninety day supply. The KinneyCare plan is available for those without insurance or with insufficient insurance.

The store has been remodeled to accommodate Kinney’s expanded health care, personal care, cosmetics and beauty care lines, and convenience food and beverages. In addition, the new store offers Hallmark greeting cards, digital photo processing and send out photo services including 35 mm photo processing.

The Waterbury Kinney Drugs grand opening festivities will kick off Saturday, March 27th at 7 a.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Free blood pressure screenings will be held from 10 am to 12 pm provided by Central Vermont Medical Center. Free face painting for the children is available from 11 am – 1 pm alongside the KinneyKare bear giving away free balloons.

Customers can register to win a 32” Widescreen TV (valued at $450), Conair Gift Basket (valued at over $225) and a $100 Visa Gift card. The winners will be announced the Sunday, March 28th. The first 250 customers will receive Free 2 oz. Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, 20 oz. Life Water, a Kinney Earth Wise reusable bag filled with sample products, and free coffee and doughnuts.
