Kinney Drugs, the leading healthcare organization in New York and Vermont, announced today they will introduce their discount prescription plan "KinneyCare". The program is available at all Kinney Drugs retail pharmacies. KinneyCare will offer over 350 generic prescriptions for $11.99 for a 90 day supply, or less than 14 cents per day. The program is available to the uninsured and those with insufficient prescription drug coverage.

"Kinney Drugs is very concerned about the impact the economy is having on the health and well being of the people in the communities we serve", commented Owen Halloran, Vice President of Professional Services. "The KinneyCare program was developed to assist patients manage their healthcare costs, continue their medication therapy and receive the medication they need."

To enroll in the plan customers go to the nearest Kinney Drugs pharmacy to fill out a KinneyCare application. The application process is simple and medication pricing can be obtained the same day. Drug pricing is based on commonly prescribed doses. There is an annual fee of $10 which covers a member, spouse and their dependent children under the age of 23. The program is valid only at Kinney Drugs retail pharmacies.

Rather than requiring a separate plan card, KinneyCare utilizes the Kinney Drugs ValueCard. In addition to the savings on prescription medications that come with enrollment in KinneyCare, your ValueCard entitles members to 10% off Kinney and Premier Value brand products every day, monthly discounts on brand name products, and exclusive savings mailed to members quarterly.
