Kinney Drugs recognizes Business Partners with Awards of Excellence

Gouverneur, N.Y., October 27, 2009 -Kinney Drugs, today announced the winners of the 2009 Vendor Awards of Excellence.  The prestigious industry awards highlighted strong category management principles, vendor's ability to collaborate with the corporate merchandising team and demonstrated superior performance.  The award ceremony recently took place at the annual Fall Management Conference and Trade Show at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, NY. 

Several awards were made by merchandise segment. Top accolades went to Frito Lay for Direct Store Delivery, Alberto Culver for Beauty Care, Brisco Apparel for Soft Goods, Hershey for Confections, Kimberly-Clark for Personal Care, and U.S. Nutrition for Category Captain of the Year.

To achieve these awards vendors were judged on measurable company objectives, such as growth, revenue profitability and marketing initiatives.  Despite economic challenges vendors met the criteria and Kinney Drugs is proud to recognize all of the winners for their ongoing commitment and partnership.
