Medicine Collection Day
At Kinney Drugs, we've always taken pride in our dedication to the communities we serve. As a part of this commitment, we strive to ensure the safety of our neighbors as it relates to the handling of prescription drugs and medications. To help us in this mission, we ask that you join us for Medicine Collection Day. The event is free and we encourage everyone to participate.

Why bring in old medication:
- Prevent child and animal poisoning.
- Help reduce substance abuse.
- Protect our community and environment by reducing the amount of pharmaceuticals that find their way into water supplies or the soil after being flushed, poured down the drain, or thrown away.
How it works:
- Bring unused or expired medications to the drop-off area during the event.
- Keep all medication in the original bottle or package.
- Cross off your name and address, but leave the name of the medicine visible.
- After our pharmacists sort all substances, they will be collected by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department and disposed of at a licensed facility.
What you can bring:
- Prescription medications
- Over-the-counter medications
- Ointments
- Sprays
- Inhalers
- Creams
- Medication vials
- Pet medications
Do not bring:
- Illegal drugs
- Biohazardous materials
- Needles/sharps
- Personal care products (shampoo, soap, lotion, sunscreen, etc.)
- Household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, oil, gas)
